Tue, 28 Sep 2010

In this article I will show you how to make a USB booteable with our preferred Live CD Distribution Backtrack4.1. You will need a USB Stick of 4GB at least.

1. Download the Backtrack 4.1 Live CD Image from http://www.backtrack-linux.org/

2. Download the freeware Unetbootin from http://unetbootin.sourceforge.net/

3. Format your USB Stick using FAT32 with the Windows Disk Tool.

4. Use Unetbootin to make your USB Stick bootable with the ISO image from Backtrack.

5. Restart your computer and configure your BIOS to boot from USB.

If after doing all the steps you can't still booting from the USB Stick, you will need to review your BIOS configurations. If you have problems entering BIOS see this page: How to enter the BIOS or CMOS setup
